The son of William and Corrine “Carrie” Kett of 392 Park St., Chatham, ON. The brother of Roy who was a POW from Dieppe and Douglas who was training at Camp Borden. The CDN 9/06/44 reported he was on a furlough with his wife in Chatham. 

In Service four years and three months with Navy. On Convoy duty and also a bit of patrol duty. Overseas most of time and made several complete trips. Promoted to the rank of Petty Officer.

Discharged August 1st, 1945.
