Kersey, Ford William

 

Born in Dover Twsp. 9/02/1920. The son of Archie and Janet (nee Hansor). Archie farmed in the Dresden area and it is believed that he sold the after his wife passed away in 1933. Ford had three older sisters Ila, Ruby, Gertie and a younger sister Emmajean. Married to Inez who was living at 68 Duke St., Chatham, ON.

Served overseas for two years.

Discharged September 18th, 1945.

After the war it is believed that he moved from Chatham to work at a factory called Auto Specialties in Windsor, ON. He also work at the Ford Motors Co. and at Zalev Brothers [they had a scrap metal business in Windsor] also worked as a truck driver and crane operator, likely for Zalev for many years until he developed a heart condition. 

Ford would marry Mildred Jean (nee Brown) she had three children; they had his only son Charles Douglas Kerney the husband of Celine Pelletier-Kersey. 

Ford William passed away in September, 1981 and is buried in Dresden, ON. along with Mildred.
