Pte. Roy Kendall first enlisted with the 70th Battalion, at Dresden, deserted from London, but later repented, and enlisted with the 97th Battalion, Windsor, going overseas with this unit as Roy Blackburn. He crossed to France in Aug 1916 with the 2nd C.R.T. and returned to England Nov 1918 and to Canada Feb 1919.
Discharged March 1919 due to demobilization.
