Served on the Destroyer H.M.C.S. Columbia. During Convoy Duty ship struck a rock off Newfoundland Coast, Most of Crew rescued, but equipment total loss.
It was reported that AB Kelly had arrived in Chatham on furlough from the East Coast spent at his mothers, Mrs. J. E. Kelly home on Murray St. Chatham. AB Kelly was aboard the HMCS Columbia that ran into Newfoundland in heavy fog looking for a German submarine.
Discharged November 13th, 1945.
