Resident Wheatley, ON

Born in Wheatley, ON. 22 August, 1918. Albert enlisted in the Army in April, 1942. He served in Canada, England and Europe.

Albert was often heard saying that he chased  the tank nicked names the “Holy Roller” across Europe. That Sherman tank of the 1st Hussars now sits in Victoria, Park, ON. Albert was honourably discharged in February, 1946.

He worked as a mechanic after the war. He was a member of the Sir Arthur Currie Legion Branch.

Albert passed away 31 July, 2010 at the age of 91 years.
