Pte. Lyle Keller left for overseas with the 4th Divisional Canadian Cyclist Corps of Toronto May 13th, 1916, arriving at Liverpool May 1st. he trained at Chiseldon Camp, until his transfer to the Infantry June 19th, 1917, continuing training at Bramshott. He proceeded to France September 1917. He served with 14th Machine Gun Coy at Passchendaele afterwards being transferred to 18th Battn with which unit he served until demobilisation, he was never sick or wounded during the whole of his service. He left England May 12th 1919 and arrived in Canada May 24th.
He was awarded the Military Medal Oct 11th 1918 for keeping open the lines of communication at Iwuy.
Discharged at London May 24th 1919 due to demobilization.
