The son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Kehoe of Taylor Ave., Chatham, he was the youngest of the four sons. It was reported that Lieut. Kehoe along with his wife and baby son had come to Chatham for the Christmas holidays with his parents and hers Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Sutherland.
Appears on the “Muster Roll” of the 2nd Bn., Kent Regiment (MG), N.P.A.N. (date unknown), prior to Jack going into ‘active’ service.
Served with the 2nd Kents.
Trained at Chatham, Camp Borden and Allenburg. Then went to Three Rivers, where he was commissioned Lieutenant. Was then stationed at Brockville for two years. Transferred to New Brunswick and was there until time of Discharge.
The CDN 1/04/44 reported that Lieut. Kehoe along with his wife and baby son Jon were weekend guest of his parents. At the end of this stay Jack was assigned to Brockville where they will take up residence there. The CDN Aug. 44 reported that Lieut. Kehoe had been on the staff at O.T.C Brockville, ON. He had left Chatham to take a course at Vernon BC. Mrs. Kehoe and little Jo would be staying at her parents for a few weeks.
Discharged July 31st, 1945.
After the war Alex was working for Morden & Helwig Insurance in Sarnia and Chatham for 42 years, retiring as the Branch Manager. After retiring he was active in Rotary Club, Children’s Treatment Center, Ontario Advisory Council and Chatham’s Committee of Assessment.
Alex passed away 14 April, 2018 at the age of 92 years.
