Kearney, Robert McCaw

 

Born 10/09/1923 at Alvinston, the son of Delmer and Flossie (nee McCaw), the brother of Max, Doug, Ted and Anna (Evans). The family moved to Ridgetown, ON. where Delmer opened Kearney’s Garage (located where the current Foodland is located). Brother of Douglas V361816 and ‘Ted’ J38165.

Robert enlisted in the army, in December of 1942 with the RCOC stationed in London, ON., he never served overseas and repaired motorcycles in London during the war.

After the war Robert returned to the Ridgetown area and farmed on the Green Line, Howard Twsp., until he retired in 1994 due to vision loss. He died 10/09/2008 at the Village, Ridgetown.
