Born 1/01/1921 at Fletcher, ON., the son of Albert and Mary Keane of Merlin, ON and brother of  Albert Shurley V89195, Gordon L. R67900, and Alvin Ross A57897. Kenneth is listed in the 1942 and 43 Year Books of the Merlin Continuation School where he attended prior to enlisting.

He enlisted in the RCAF at Windsor, ON. 23/09/1941, the third of the brothers to enlist.  The Merlin Standard 25/09/41 reported that Kenneth had reported to the RCAF- Manning Pool in Toronto. He received his Basic Training in Toronto before being posted at St. Thomas, ON. Gaspe, P.Q., Dartmouth, NS. And Halifax and finally to Newfoundland. The MS 17/02/44 reported that Ken had arrived from Newfoundland on a two week furlough.

The MS 29/06/44 reported that LAC Keane was visiting his parents after a term at Gaspe PQ 

He was discharged in November 1945 at Dartmouth, NS.
