Ross was the second of four Keane brothers, as he was known, enlisting in Chatham, ON 31/07/1941. He did his Basic Training at # 12 in BTC. at Chatham, ON. before being posted to Barriefield, ON. Ross went overseas in February of 1942 serving in England, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. He returned from overseas duty in late December 1945 and was discharged from service in London, ON., in January 1946 at London, ON.

Pte., Service number: A57897. Born 2/02/1919 at Fletcher, Kent Co., ON., the son of Albert and Mary Keane of Merlin, ON and brother of  Gordon Lyle R67900 and Kenneth James R126929 . He attended the Merlin Continuation School prior to enlistment.
