The son of Mrs. Clara Jones of of 41 St. George. Married, his wife was residing in Kingsville, ON.

Trained at Camp Borden and in British Columbia before leaving Canada. The CDN 5/03/45 reported that Lieut. Jones had left for overseas.  Lieut. Jones had been in the army for five years   .   Went overseas with the Essex Scottish and later transferred to the Argyll Sutherland Highlanders CDN 15/11/45(P and served in Northwestern Europe. Promoted to the rank of Captain.
