Private William Johnson trained two years in Canada before leaving for overseas in March 1918. He proceeded to France August 12th, 1918, to the 47th Canadian Battalion, serving two months when he received a gunshot wound in the right leg. He was admitted to hospital, transferred to England October 1st, 1918, and embarked for Canada January 18th, 1919.
Private William Johnson received his discharge February 14th, 1919, due to demobilization.
