The son of the late Mr. Hugh Johnson of Chatham he was residing at   Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Keech of Nothwood, Kent Co., his wife and two daughters resided at the Keech home. Prior to his enlistment he was employed as a welder at the Chatham Malleable & Steel Co. for eleven years.

The CDN 15/09/44 reported that Cpl. H. B. Johnson was serving in France.

Served overseas four years and a half, in France, Belgium, Germany and Holland, was just to leave on rotational leave for three months when war ended. Usual ribbons and decorations.

Discharged August 10th, 1945.
