Regimental number: 3130247, 1st WOR. The son of William Jackson of 178 Colborne St., Chatham, ON., and the brother of Pte James Henry Jackson (3134287).  RG150, Accession: 1992-93/166, Box 4759-20, Item: 485469, PDF: B4759-SO20. 1st WOR 

He received his medical examination 9/1/17 at Chatham, receiving a A-ll. Age 24 years 4 mths, Height 5’ 9 ½” . Complexion Dark (Negro), Eyes: Brown, Hair: Black, Vision 20/20.

His Attestation dated 3/01/17 at  London, ON. to the Cdn. Forestry Co. 

Prior to his service overseas he was treated for Gonorrhoea 11/01/18 – 12/02/18 at St. Thomas, ON. and again for the same problem 24/05/18 – 8/06/18. Here he was treated with eight injections of  (606) and was “Warned and Advised”. 

Private William Thomas Jackson left for overseas July 28th, 1918.

William embarked in Canada 10/07/18, disembarking 22/07/18.

William was admitted to the Canadian Stationary Hospital – Whitley for VDS 20/08/18 and discharged 4/09/18. He served in England only and was Taken Off Strength 29/01/19. She shipped out of England 5/02/19 aboard the S.S. Baltic and “Dismissed from HMS and demobilized 1/03/1919
