Private Humphrey trained with the 71st battalion as stretcher-bearer, going overseas Apr. 3, 1916.
He trained at Bramshott until Dec. 1916, when he entered the Canadian Pay and Record Office, London, England, where he served until July 1917.
Then he trasferred to the Royal Flying Corps, training at Hastings and later at Oxford College.
