Howard, Elmer

 

Born in Chatham in 1906.  The Brother of Leo ‘Brodie’, Thomas, Stewart, Bonnie (Lauison) and William “Doc”.  Ernest never married.

Was with supply Department (Quarter Master Stores) stationed at #12 B.T.C. Chatham. Was on Chatham hospital Staff and then organized to go overseas at Listowel, Ontario. Went to Windsor, Nova Scotia and then overseas. Served  in Holland, France and Germany. Promoted to the rank of Sergeant and spent one year on occupational duty in Germany.

Discharged April 6th, 1946.

Elmer passed away 20 June, 1981 at the age of 75 years. Interment at St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Chatham, ON.
