Walter served with the 6^th Armoured Regt. at Camp Borden.  He was visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Houston. The WJ 10/07/41 Reported that he and Frank Cobby in the 1^st Hussars at Camp Borden were on a weekend leave.

The WJ 25/08/41 reported that Pte. Houston stationed at Camp Borden, spent a weekend with his parents. The WJ 18/09/41 reported that Tpr. Houston spent a weekend leave with his parents.
