The CDN 8/04/43 Reported Pte. had spent a week-end with his parents before returning to Camp Ipperwash. The CDN 11/05/43 reported that Jack was on a week-end pass from Camp Ipperwash.  

The DT 1/06/44 reported that Jack then stationed at Camp Ipperwash, along with Miss Jean Balls of Petrolia spent the weekend at his mother’s home.
