The son of Frank Horton of Patteson Avenue, Chatham.

Trained in Windsor from May 1942 to October 1942. Then went to Ottawa then to Cornwallis and to Newfoundland.  In April 1944 went to see and served aboard ship until late 1945.   The CDN 24/10/44 reported that Clarence returning to the east coast after visiting his parents, the brother of Ernest Leslie who served in the RCAF.

Discharged October 6th, 1945.
