Born in Blenheim, ON., the daughter of Robert and Helene Hornby of Gray St., Chatham. The sister of John Robert, Doriene (Killby) and Marjorie (Sullivan). She attended Blenheim High School.  The wife of William Chandler, mother of Dave, Sue (Nead).

Donna Jean severed in the RCAF as a Wireless operator from 1943 to 1945.

Donna served as a Wireless Operator, was reported stationed at RCAF – Montreal when she was home for a weekend with a AW1 Barbara Currie of Brantford. CDN 21/02/44

Donna Jean was reported to be stationed at No. 1 Wireless Training School in Montreal, PQ. BNT 12/04/44. 

Previous None Military Experience:

The CDN 24/12/43 reported Donna was at No.1 Wireless School along with her brother were at home with their mother for Christmas.

Appeared in a photograph with her  brother John Robert and Rosanna Jean Hogg AW2 (W311198), they must have enlisted together, and her brother A. Wesley (V63815).  BNT 12/04/44 (P)

Donna Jean Hornby (Chandler) passed away 15 March, 2018 at 95 years of age. (Cremated) (P) CDN 20/03/18.
