Vaughn enlisted in the RCAF 15/10/1943 and served at Mont Joli, PQ. as a LAC.  The DT 30/12/43 reported that Vaughn was on a Christmas leave at his mother’s home.

 He was discharged from service in October of 1945.

After the war he was employed at the Canadian Canners working there for forty-three years before he retired. A member of Royal Canadian Legion Br. 113. He served on the Dresden Town Council and was a volunteer with Meals On Wheels for twenty-one years.

Married to Helen (nee Wilson) they had one child Catherine (Shaw) of Petrolia.

Vaughn passed away 10 March, 2015, interment at the Dresden Cemetery. CDN-Obit 11/03/15.
