The son of Mr. and Mrs. Emerson, Hooper. The DT 16/07/42 reported that Lyle was stationed at Regina, SK. when he arrived in Dresden for a two week leave.

Re-enlisted in 1947 when recalled by R.C.R. August 1954, R.C.E.M.E. In Korea, two Korean Medals for service with Canadian Attached U.N. troops. Prior to the Second World War was in Merchant Marine, Salt and Fresh Water.

Discharged August 1945, Re-enlisted during 1947.

 Lyle passed away 8 October, 1995.
