The DT 13/05/43 reported that Floyd was stationed at Barriefield was on a weekend at his parents home. The DT 8/04/43 reported that Floyd was at Ipperwash camp when he was given a weekend leave. Pte. Hooper was stationed at Barriefield when he was given a two week leave. DT 8/07/43 Pte Hooper  was reported home on a weekend leave in February, from his training at Stratford, ON. DT 18/02/43 The DT 12/08/43 reported that Pte. Floyd Hooper had arrived safely in the British Isle.

Floyd passed away 27 June, 1979.
