Born 29/07/18, enlisted 14/09/29.  The son of Mr. James A and Mrs. Florence Holmes of Dresden. The Parents of David, Walter and Oliver Holmes The DT 24/12/41 reported that he was stationed at Petewawa when he was given a ten-day embarkation leave. While at his parent’s home he was given a pre-Christmas dinner in his honour.   Wounded in the left shoulder at Dieppe Raid, August, 1942 along with his brother David. Oliver was training at BTC No. 112 – Chatham.  

Discharged August 11th, 1945.
