Born in Tilbury. Married, his wife and children were living at 9 or 11 Grand Ave. E. in Chatham. It has been brought to our attention that they also lived on Delaware Ave at the corner of McNaughton East in Chatham (T Holland).

He had been sick with malaria in November and was reported wounded by telegram on the 10/12/45. CDN12/01/45. His wounds were not serious and he was soon back in action. 

The CDN 10/12/45 reported that he returned to Canada aboard the S. S. Mauretania. Next of Kin: R. Holland, R.R. 4, Chatham, ON. Arrived aboard the S.S. Mauretania from oversea docked at Halifax NS. 1 January, 1946.
