Hind, Wilbert James

 

The son of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Hind of 103 Adelaide St., Chatham.

James enlisted in the RCAF in October 1940 and trained at Brandon, MB. Regina, SK. Vancouver, B.C. and at Dauphin, MB. where he received his Wings and Commission. During that summer he was stationed at Trenton while taking a six weeks administrative course and shortly afterwards was appointed Commanding Officer and chief  flying instructor at Prince Albert Saskatchewan. Promoted to the rank of Squadron Leader. IODE (P)

The CDN 7/07/44 reported that Flt. Lieut. Hind, his wife and son Gary arrived from Prince Albert Sask. to visit their parents.

Flt. Lieut left Trenton to take a six week administration course after which he would spend a short leave after returning to No.6 F.T.F.S  in the latter part of August  he was notified of his new appointment, before proceeding back to Prince Albert with his family.
