Nursing Sister Annie R. Hinchey had military training in April 1914. Nursed at the Station Hospital, Kingston, Ontario at the R.M.C. Barryfield, Ontario. Enlisted at Kingston, Ont and was Graduate Nurse of General Hospital, Kingston, Ontario.
Nursing Sister Annie R. Hinchey went to France No. 2 Canadian Stationary Hospital. She returned to England and was posted to the Canadian Convalescent Officers Hospital, Matlock Bath, Derby where she served until transferred to Canada March 20th, 1919. While in England Nursing Sister Hinchey was awarded the Royal Red Cross for valuable services rendered. She was mentioned in dispatches on November 13th, 1919.
Died at University Hospital Cleveland, Ohio February 10th, 1934 and is buried at Chatham, Ontario February 13th, 1934.
Demobilised March 24th, 1919.
