Remained in Canada one year and a half years before going overseas in November 1943, where he served in England, Italy, Holland and Germany. Took part in the Battles of Cassino, Gothic Line, Hitler Line. Promoted to the rank of Corporal and won the 1939 to 1945 Star, the Italian Star, The France and Germany Star, and the C.V.S.M. ribbon.
