Born in Dresden in 1921. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Henson, reported to be the brother of  Pte. Cleland ‘Tex’ Henson. A descendent of  the Rev. Josiah Henson. He was married to Karen and was living at 143 ½ Wellington St. East, Chatham, ON.

Jehu enlisted in 1943, age 22 with the Essex Scottish Regt., 2nd Div. 4th Brigade. He did his basic training at No. 12 BTC, in Chatham then to Ipperwash and Woodstosk. Leaving from Halifax, NS. to go overseas he served in England, France, Belgium and Germany where he was taken POW and sent to Stalag 11-B where he spent four mounths and interned Fallengbostel, Camp 113 before being liberated 6/05/1945. He was repatriated  to Canada and discharged from the Army in March 25th, 1946.

In 1980 he was living in Dresden, ON. Jehu passed away 14/09/1983 at the age of 63 years and id buried at the Josiah Henson Cemetery in Dresden, ON. IODE (N), IODE-CM(N), gravemarker photo by Janet.
