POW. Born in Harwich Twsp., Kent Co. ON., the son of James and Lena May (nee Henness ) Henderson; brother of Hubert, Lorne, Burville, Marion and Mildred (Callow). The husband of Ila A. (nee Arcouiet) who passed away 1997.

Bruce in the RCAF as an airline mechanic.  The CDN 2/02/45 Reported that Cpl. Henderson who was stationed at Trenton was returning to his duties.

After the war he was the owner operator of Bruce Henderson Motors in Chatham until 1982. He was also a foreman at International Havester. He was involved in many organizations, President of Wing 411 Air Force Club, President of the Chatham Power Squadron and Chatham Garage Operators. Active with the Kent County Apprenticeship Board and the Chatham Toastmaster Club.

Bruce passed away 30 July, 2013 at the age of 93 years, at Riverview Gardens, Chatham, ON. A legion member Bruce was interned at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham, ON. TBD-RH, CDN 2/02/45 (see M. Hind scrapbook), CDN-Obit. 1/08/13.
