Private Heather enlisted in Aug. 1914 and proceeded overseas with the 1st battalion going to France with the same unit Feb. 1915.
Departed: Quebec City via S. S. Laurentic, sailed 3/10/14. Arived overseas (France) 11/02/15. He was granted a one week leave to England 18/10/15
He took part in all important engagements until wounded Mar. 17, 1916 and died of wounds a few days later.
He was carried out of the trenches by his father.
