Born 25/08/1912 in Norwich, England.  The son of Mr. and Mrs., W Haydon of Park Avenue, Chatham.   Husband of Mrs. Joyce Eva (Baulcomb) Haydon of 104 Harvey St., Chatham, ON.  

Appears on the “Muster Roll” of the 2^nd Bn., Kent Regiment (MG), N.P.A.N. (date unknown). Stanley would later transfer to the Hastings & Prince Edward “Hasty Pats” Regt.

The CDN 1/06/44 reported that Stanley was overseas.     Reported returning from overseas duty on the Ile de France, expected to dock at Halifax NS., 1-2 October, 1945. CDN 29/09/45. CBC-RH. 

Two sons Dennis and Keith and a daughter Elizabeth (Beth) all believed to be in Courtney, BC. After the war Stanley worked at the Volkeswagen dealership in Wallaceburg where he and Joyce were living. Stanley passed away in 22 July, 2004. Buried in Wallaceburg at Riverview cemetery. (photo available from Stan Haydon).
