The grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Filby of Thamesville, ON. Held a family dinner in honour of their grandson’s 18th birthday.
The CDN 16/10/43 reported that Ordinary Seaman Harrington was home from the east coast to visit with his parents Mr. and Mrs. Jack Harrington of West St., Chatham
The CDN 31/12/43(P) reported that Seaman John Harrington, the only son of detective Jack Harrington and his wife on West St., Chatham received notice that their son had arrived overseas.
Jack is a member of combined operations branch. He had completed a training course on the east coast and he received further while overseas.
Jack was just eighteen while stationed at RCNVR-Windsor before going to the east coast.
