The son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Harper of Camden Twsp., Kent Co., ON.  In 1943 it was OS. Harper then stationed at Halifax, NS. He was reported in the DT 22/04/43 home on a furlough. The CDN 18/09/43 reported that O/S Gerald Lloyd Harper  of the RCNVR was married to Miss Hilda Evelyn Butler 2 Sept. 1943 at St. Paul’s Anglican Church. After the ceremony the couple left on a wedding trip to York Point PEI. Upon their return they took up residence at 124 Barrington St., Halifax, NS.   

Discharged January 9th, 1946.

Gerald passed away 26 December, 1976.
