Private Halliday served three years with the volunteers.
He trained one year in Canada with the 215th battalion when he proceeded overseas, training at Witley Camp, thence to France transferring to the 125th battalion.
He received slight wounds in Aug. 1918, returning to his unit in three weeks time.
He was reported Missing and later reported killed in action Sept. 30. 1918.
