Private William Wilson Hall transferred from the 91st to the 186th Battalion, embarking for England with this unit in March 1917, After training at Bramshott he crossed to France August 16th, 1917, he transferred to the 18th Battalion. He received promotion to Corporal after the first engagement. April 3rd, 1918, he suffered from gunshot wound to the face and was admitted to Hospital at Etaples, France.
