Private Samuel Haines served seven years with 24th Kent Regiment

Enlisted December 13th, 1915 as a private in 91st Battalion, transferred to the 186th Kent Battalion, promoted to Sergeant of Band. Proceeded overseas in March 1917 landing in England April 7th. Proceed to France after spending one year in England and joined the 18th Battalion going through all the engagements and marching with them to the Rhine.

Discharged May 24th 1919.
