Gunner William L. Green embarked for England April 23rd, 1917, and was stationed at Shorncliffe, with the 8th Reserve Battalion until August 5th, 1917, when he was admitted to Moore Barracks Hospital, Shorncliffe, and transferred to Hospital at Liverpool, November 30th, leaving for Canada December 31st, 1917.
Gunner William L. Green was discharged at London, Ontario, February 5th, 1918, being found medically unfit for Military service,due to sickness contracted on active service. He received a pension for six months, and was employed by the Dowsley Spring and Axle Company, after discharge.
