Private C.L.Ernest Gray trained at Carling Heights, until July 26th,1918, leaving Halifax for overseas with the 97th draft August 4th, 1918. Her was stationed with the 4th Reserve Battalion, Frenshaw Camp, Surrey transferred to Witley, and proceeded to France November 17th, 1918, drafted to the 47th Canadian Battalion, 4th Division. He remained with this unit until 17 April 1919, when he returned to England, left for Canada May 28th, 1919.
Discharged at London June 6th 1919 due to demobilization.
