The son of Alex Gordon of Chatham Gore Twsp., Kent Co., ON.
Edwin enlisted the the 5th Field Regt. at Kingston, ON. in early 1940. He trained in Canada and in England. While in action in 1943 he received a wound that prevented his return to active service. He transferred to the Canadian Army Postal Corps after his convalescence and served in England until he returned home sailing on the Isle de France. CDN 27/06/45
The WN 5/07/45 reported that Bombardier Gordon had returned home.
