Born 15/04/1923 in Ridgetown, ON. The son of Albert James Goldhawk and Mary Ann Ederle. Educated at Ridgetown Public School and Ridgetown High School. Heads the 6th child and had 10 siblings. Francis Catherine, Mary Josephine Ignacio, George Ernest James, William J ‘Bill’, Joseph Andrew, Anna May, Robert Donald, Lyle Paul, George Francis Eberle’ Eb’, Edythe Veronica.
Enlisted at Chatham, ON. 14 November, 1942 and went overseas in April 1945. Albert served in WWII as a Flight Engineer on Wellingtons and Halifax aircraft with the 424 Squadron Bomber Command of the RCAF. He also volunteered at the end of the European War in 1945 to go the Americans in the Pacific Theatre flying supplies to the Far East.
After the war, he owned and operated Goldhawk Electric from 1951-1985 in Ridgetown, ON.
Albert died Sept 14, 1985. He is buried in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Ridgetown, ON.
