Unit # Royal Canadian Artillery

Enlisted 8 December, 1942 in the RCA. Reported married and undergoing basic training at BTC No.12, Chatham, ON. In February of 1943; he was also reported to be married at the time.  

Homer enlisted as a gunner in the Royal Canadian Artillery

The Merlin Standard 17/02/44 reported that he left to rejoin his battalion in Newfoundland after a two week s furlough. He took along his wife and little daughter Patricia. 

He served as an Ack-Ack Gunner overseas.
