Private Robert J. George transferred from the 186th Battalion to the Canadian Army Medical Corps, London, leaving with a draft for overseas April 12th, 1917. He was at first stationed at the C.A.M.C. Training Camp, Westenhanger, and from there as Orderly to the D.Q.S.,133 Oxford St.,London. In August 1917 he was transferred to Military Hospital, Warlingham, and from there the Canadian Convalescent Military Hospital, Epsom. Later he was moved to the C.A.M.C. Depot, Shorncliffe, reported at Westcliffe Hospital awaiting discharge, and embarked for Canada September 11th, 1918, arriving at Montreal September 28th, 1918.
Private Robert J. George received his discharge November 13th, 1918, as medically unfit for further military service.
