Born in 1924 at Chatham, ON., the son of William and Rose Garlick of 77 Spencer Ave., Chatham. The husband of Mildred “Millie” (nee McLean), the father of Lynn (Gore), Vicky (Jackson) Brad, Kim and Jackie (Pynaert). Jack and Millie were married at Park St. United Church. Prior to his enlistment he was ermployed at Chatco Steel Products in Chatham.
Jack enlisted in January of 1943 with the RCAF, Training at the Toronto Manning Centre, St. Thomas, Moncton, NB., Montreal, PQ., and Summerside, PEI where he received his commission. It was reported that Jack was on a New Years leave from Moncton in January of 1944. CDN 8/01/44 He served overseas since December 1944 as a Flying Officer. He was discharged from service 29/08/1945.
Jack passed away 23/06/2006.
