Private James H. Gander was called  for duty January 3rd,1918, going overseas February 14th, 1918, He trained at Bramshott until August when he crossed to France, on Oct 17th, he was wounded by a shrapnel in the left knee and was sent to hospital in England until Dec 5th, He reached Canada in 1919.
