Private Fry left for overseas with the 18th battalion Feb. 14, 1915 and proceeded to France with “C” Company of the 18th battalion serving as stretcher bearer.
While in the act of binding up a wound in another man’s arm a shell burst near them, killing them both. This occurred Oct. 1, 1916 near Courcelette.
