The daughter of Henry Frost of 430 William St., Wallaceburg, ON. The sister of Mrs. Harry McMurray of Margaret Ave., Wallaceburg.

After two years service overseas Edith returned to Canada on a month’s leave. She enlisted in early 1942 and went overseas in January of 1943 posted to 41st Company CWAC. While in England she was engaged mostly as a typist in the Army administration group. The Wallaceburg News reported that Edith was serving overseas. WN-date unknown.

The WN 15/04/43(P) reported that Sgt. Barnes along with M. Tope: Ctatham, E.M.Knight, Sarnia: E. Frost, of Wallaceburg all members of the Canadian Women’s Army Corp had arrives safely overseas.

Edith suffered an attack of Pleurisy as a result of which she was sent home for a good rest. WN 28/06/45.
