Regimental number: 2356013. Reference: RG 150, Accession 1992-93/166, Box 3291 – 28, Item: 399652, PDF: B3291-S038. Date of Birth: 10/11/1899 (actually 10/11/1900 as noted on Attestation papers). Born in Highgate, Orford Twsp., Kent Co., ON. Son of Mrs. Lousa A. Fraser of 48 Railway St., St. Thomas, ON. Later Mrs. L.A. Campbell wife of John W. Campbell  

A single fireman, Charles was  living in St. Thomas. Listed five weeks with CAMC as previous military experience (enlisted underage).

 Attestation: 2/01/1918 at Windsor ON. to the 1st WOR. Also note on the attestation that he was not to be sent overseas until 10/11/1918. However Charles was sent overeas leaving Halifax, aboard the S. S. Oetic 22/02/18. Date of service in England 4/03/18 (last mailing address C.O. Ridgetown, ON. 

‘Chub’ was hospitalized at Whitley, Surrey 20/06/28 for VDG. He was TOS (Taken On Strength) with the 4th reserve Batt. 22/09/18 and was discharged  from H.M.S. (as a minor) A4 – 4 November, 1918 returned to Canada 10/10/18.
