The son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Foulis of Erieau, ON., brother of Thomas Jr. RCNVR.  

Gordon went overseas in January of 1943 serving in England and then in Italy.  The CDN 6/05/43 reported that He had arrived safely overseas.

He was reported wounded in action 11/09/44.  The CDN 25/09/44(P) reported he was WIA while serving with the Perth Regt., there was no details of his injuries. BNT 27/09/44. The CDN 26/09/44 reported that Mrs. Thomas Foulis had received a letter from her son that he had been wounded in his right leg while in action in Italy. He is able to get around but remains in hospital.

The CDN 25/09/44 reported Gordon enlisted with the First Kents in 1940, training on the east and west coast of Canada.
