It was reported in the CDN 22/08/44 that L/Cpl. Gus Foulis along with Pte. Eddie Wood were lucky enough to be in Rome in time to be in the audience with the Pope.

Reported to be returning from oversea duty aboard the S.S. Nieuw Amsterdam, CDN 26/09/45.
